BARNEVELDER
Large Fowl
Origin: Holland
Lifespan: 6 – 12 years
Eggs: 180 – 220 per year
Egg Color: Brown
Purpose: Eggs / Meat
Cold Hardy: Yes
Classification: Heavy, Soft Feather
This beautiful bird is hardy, calm and doesn’t mind being confined, but they love to roam and they are very good foragers. They do talk quite a bit, but their voice is low and quiet.
The Barnevelder is a delightfully gentle and inquisitive bird, non-aggressive and they usually get along with everyone, eminently suitable for a family flock.
